Annual Contribution Evaluation

Introduction

To account for changes in healthcare costs, REDEEM HealthShare reviews the monthly share deposit amount annually. As a result of this review, REDEEM HealthShare may adjust the monthly deposit share amount.

The monthly deposit share amount is the sum of the share portion and required miscellaneous portions published in the funding notice. Below is the definition of each monthly contribution:

  • Member To Member Share is the amount used for sharing other members’ medical bills.
  • Admin Service is the portion of your monthly share dedicated and used for ministry administration costs.
  • Program Services is the portion of your monthly share dedicated and used for services that directly benefit members.

The image below shows a sample funding summary depending on the results of the review the amounts listed in either section might increase or decrease and that will be your new monthly deposit share amount withdrawn from your financial institution. Red boxes around member-to-member share portion and the required miscellaneous portions published in the funding notice.

Information

If REDEEM HealthShare determines that an increase of monthly deposit share amount is necessary to meet healthcare costs and ministry operation costs, REDEEM HealthShare will give 60-day notice about the increase. The new monthly deposit share amount due each month will take effect on a designated and disclosed effective date.

In most cases, the monthly deposit share amount due will change on or after the effective date when your membership renews. Because renewals occur throughout the year, increases will not take effect for all members at the same time.
