Using Employer Provided Insurance with REDEEM® HealthShare
Introduction
You can keep an employer-based insurance plan and be a REDEEM® HealthShare member for the extra peace of mind of having Christian community and the convenience of sharing your health care costs.
Information
Being a REDEEM® HealthShare Member in addition to having an employer provided insurance plan works well when you find yourself in one of these unique circumstances:
- Your employer offers healthcare coverage for you but not for your family.
- Your deductible is higher than you would like.
- Your health plan does not include your preferred provider.
When you have insurance and are also a member of REDEEM HealthShare, expenses must be submitted to the insurance provider first. This means that, when you have a medical need, your provider will submit the bill to your insurance first.
