Remove a Member From a Group

Introduction

A member might choose to leave the ministry, or the member might choose to remain with the ministry but not under the group. As either the Sponsor Administrator or Group Administrator, this article provides the instruction you need to remove a member from a group.

Procedure

To remove a member from a group, follow these steps: 

  1. In the Sponsor Center navigation menu, select Home to view the Group(s) card. 
  2. In the Group(s) card, select the dropdown arrow.
  3. From the options, select the appropriate group name. 
  4. In the Group Members section, type the member’s name in the First Name and Last Name Matching results will appear. 
  5. In the Actions column, select the Ellipsis icon corresponding to the appropriate member’s name and choose the requested action:
    1. When you no longer sponsor a member, but he or she wants to remain with REDEEM HealthShare and pay his or her own monthly shares, select Remove from Group from the dropdown menu to remove the member you are no longer sponsoring. The Group Membership Removal screen will open.
      1. In the Group Through Date field, select the requested date the sponsorship will end.
        Note: Sponsorship remains active through the selected date and ends on the first day of the following month. Because Share Wallet funding for the current period occurs in the previous month, processed payments are non-refundable. After sponsorship ends, the member has 30 days to continue an individual membership by updating his or her payment method.
      2. Select Save. A confirmation will appear.
      1. When a member chooses to deactivate with REDEEM HealthShare, select Expire Immediately from the dropdown menu to remove a member you will no longer sponsor. 
        red triangle with a black exclamation point in the center. Warning: Removal from a group does not inactivate membership. As either the Sponsor Administrator or Group Administrator, you must direct the member to contact Member Care regarding his or her inactivation.
