Sharing eligibility for wellness visits

This article provides information about wellness visits (annual physical, routine) and any associated immunizations during doctor visits.

Wellness visits

If your household Membership is in the REDEEM™ Enhanced program, wellness visits are eligible for sharing but with limits per person per year. Each member is eligible for one routine visit per year, which includes wellness gynecological visits.

Routine visit costs are not subject to either the Annual Unshareable Amount (AUA) or co-share amounts.

Immunizations

Immunization cost and the associated office visits are eligible for sharing under the following criteria:

  • Children, ages birth to two years who are members of REDEEM™ Enhanced.
  • Children ages three to six years who are members of REDEEM™ Enhanced when part of the child’s annual routine visit.
  • Members beyond the age of seven with Flexshare™ option only.
  • Tetanus, only if there is an injury requiring a tetanus shot. The treatment cost is subject to your AUA and co-share.
NOTE: Tetanus shots are ineligible for sharing during routine or preventative purposes.
