Understanding bill statuses

The following glossary can help you better understand REDEEM™ HealthShare vocabulary and definitions. For information about viewing or monitoring your bills, see the corresponding article Navigating the Member Center to monitor your bills.

This table provides terminology and descriptions for bill statuses and stages.

Terminology Description
Adjusted REDEEM HealthShare staff have adjusted the bill to correct an adjudication error. 
Check Issued REDEEM HealthShare has issued a check for the shared bill.
Closed The bill you submitted through the Member Center was assigned a specific bill number and moved into processing.
Discarded The bill was discarded because the system shows a duplicate bill. 
Eligible The bill is eligible for sharing and will typically have funds assigned within 1-14 days.
Ineligible  According to the REDEEM HealthShare Guideline, the bill is ineligible for sharing. See the Bill Details or the EOS for more information.
Matched  An eligible bill that REDEEM HealthShare staff matched with other members for sharing. Bills typically remain in this status for only a few minutes 
Missing Information REDEEM HealthShare requires additional information to continue processing this bill. When monitoring bills, you can click the bill card to see the Missing Info note that indicates what information is missing 
New This may be a new bill you submitted or a bill that provides the additional information that REDEEM HealthShare requested. 
Payment Cleared The bank has cleared and cashed the check issued for the shared bill.
Payment Released REDEEM HealthShare has transferred funds into an account to share a medical bill. Note: In prepayment cases, the flow of funds may differ slightly.
 Published REDEEM HealthShare has matched your bill for sharing with other members who have received notice. The bill remains in this status for 3 days until it is Shared.
Received REDEEM HealthShare received your bill and assigned it a specific bill number 
Rejected A bill REDEEM HealthShare has rejected. When monitoring bills, you can click the bill card to see the Notes which indicate why the bill was rejected.
Shared REDEEM HealthShare has matched and shared your eligible bill with other members.
 Submitted REDEEM HealthShare received the bill you submitted and now awaits processing.
 Void The issued check has been voided, likely because the check was lost in the mail. REDEEM HealthShare will reissue the check.
