Understanding Optional Charitable Donation Amounts

 

Introduction

As a REDEEM®HealthShare member, you have the option to donate voluntarily to the ministry and to members who need temporary financial assistance.

This article explains what each fund supports and how to enable, disable, or update the Optional Charitable Donation amounts in the Member Center.

Information

You can contribute to one or both of the following funds:

Operational Fund

By donating to the Operational Fund, you support enhancements that improve the member experience and help REDEEM® HealthShare continue innovating beyond routine operating costs.

Member Assistance Fund

By donating to the Member Assistance Fund, you help support members who temporarily need additional financial assistance.

Manage Optional Charitable Donations

You can enable Optional Charitable Donations at any time. Once enabled, the selected donation amounts apply to future funding transactions until you disable them.

To enable Optional Charitable Donations, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Member Center.
  2. In the upper right, select your initials icon.
  3. Select Account.
  4. Select Permissions.
  5. In the Optional Amount(s) section, select Edit.
  6. Select Optional Charitable Donation Amount Enabled checkbox.
  7. Select Save. You have now enabled Optional Charitable Donations.

To disable Optional Charitable Donations, follow these steps:

  1. Follow steps 1-5 above.
  2. Clear the Optional Charitable Donation Amont Enabled checkbox.
  3. Select Save. You have now disabled Optional Charitable Donations.

To update Optional Charitable Donation amounts, follow these steps:

  1. Follow steps 1-5 above.
  2. Update the amounts to your preferred amounts.
  3. Select Save. Future funding transactions will use the updated amounts.
