Understanding Your Annual Unshareable Amount
Introduction
The Annual Unshareable Amount (AUA) is the dollar amount you must pay toward your own eligible medical bills during a 12-month period.
Information
You will select your AUA during the application process. You can change your AUA on the anniversary of your membership date or if you have a qualifying life event. A switching fee might apply. For information about your AUA, see Guidelines – 5.4 Changing Programs.
Once your household meets the AUA and the co-share (if applicable), then REDEEM® HealthShare can publish your eligible medical bills for sharing.
Note: Ineligible bills do not contribute to your AUA.
Essential Program
If you are a member in REDEEM® Essential, your eligible medical bills are subject to both the AUA and the co-share amount of eligible medical bills.
Senior Saver Program
If you are a member in REDEEM® Senior Saver, the AUA is $500.
