When you visit your doctor or provider for the first time it's important to inform them about your membership and help your doctor understand how to best handle your medical care and billing as a member of REDEEM HealthShare Ministry.
Follow these best practices:
- Present your REDEEM HealthShare membership card to the staff, doctor, or provider first.
- This card has important information about your membership.
- Provide any informational materials you have from REDEEM HealthShare for those unfamiliar with health sharing.
- Inform the staff, doctor, or provider to send your medical bills electronically using the number on your membership card.
- Inform the staff, doctor, or provider to send the bills within 12 months from the date you receive the service to be eligible for sharing.
- Inform the staff, doctor, or provider that your medical bills are not covered by traditional insurance, rather they are shared with other members.
- Discuss your health care plan with your doctor to make sure the services are eligible under the REDEEM HealthShare Ministry guidelines.
