States requiring health insurance

Some states require their residents to have health insurance or face a state-level penalty.

Members of health sharing organizations, like REDEEMâ„¢ HealthShare Ministry may have an exemption from these penalties because these states may consider health sharing a form of meeting the coverage requirement under certain state laws.
