Submitting a medical bill

There are two ways to submit bills, using either your Member ID card or by uploading bills through the Member Center.

The preferred method of submitting your medical bills is to present your Member ID card to your provider at the time of service. Your provider can submit your bills electronically to REDEEM™ HealthShare Ministry.

Your provider has up to 12 months to submit bills for processing from the date of service.

REDEEM HealthShare understands that 1) not all providers use an electronic system, 2) technical difficulties may arise when making the submission, or 3) you may have paid your medical bill directly to your provider.

For times when you need to upload your bills through the Member Center, follow these steps:

  1. Sign into REDEEM™ HealthShare. The Member Center displays.
  2. In the menu, click My Medical Bills.
  3. Click Submit Bills. The Submit a Bill screen displays.
  4. Select Medical Bill.
  5. Complete these additional required questions:

    • 2. Member that Incurred Expenses
    • 3. Has the bill been paid in full or partially paid?
    • 4. For your reference, give this bill a nick name.
  6. Click Next. The Submit a Medical Bill screen displays.

  7. Type your Additional Information into the required fields.
  8. Upload the appropriate documents, which must include the following information:
    • Name of member/patient
    • Diagnosis/ICD10 Codes
    • Procedure/CPT Codes
    • Provider’s TAX ID
    • Provider’s NPI
    • Provider’s Billing Address
    • Facility Service/Physical Address
    • Date of Service
    • Charged Amount(s)
    If Applicable:
    • Patient Payment Receipt(s)
    • Explanations of Benefits
  9. Once you upload your bill successfully, select I acknowledge, copy of receipt showing payment has been included in uploaded documents.
  10. Click Submit. A pop-up note Need is submitted successfully displays.
