This overview provides you with general information about doctor visits and a simple description of the bill process.
Since REDEEM™ HealthShare Ministry is not insurance, you can choose any doctor or healthcare facility. Without provider network limitations, you can continue seeing the providers you already know and trust for all your healthcare needs.
For any medical visit, Inform the provider that you are a REDEEM HealthShare member. Most providers can submit your bill through the EDI number on the membership card. You can also submit the bill online yourself, See: Submitting Medical Bills.
Member Care Specialists will review the medical bills for eligibility and financial limitations. See: Sharing Guidelines for complete information on eligible bills.
To determine eligibility for bill sharing:
- You must first pay your annual unshared amount (AUA) before eligible bills can be shared. The AUA resets annually on your membership anniversary date.
- Once approved, the bill is published to the community, and contributions from other members are matched to cover the cost.
