Additional terms apply to certain services.
- Support. Samaritan Ministries provides support to REDEEM HealthShare members. You may contact member support at 877-641-1579 or at Members.RedeemHealthShare.Org/Contact-Us. Samaritan Ministries will work with you and our service providers to correct issues in accordance with the applicable Terms and REDEEM HealthShare Sharing Guidelines (“Guidelines”). It is important that you notify Samaritan Ministries of any issues, such as transaction or billing issues, without undue delay. Delay of more than 20 days may compromise Samaritan Ministries’ ability to address such issues.
- Account Information. Any information you provide to Samaritan Ministries, directly or through service providers, must be true and accurate at the time you create your account. You must be (1) at least 18 years old, (2) a legal resident of the United States, and (3) a member or applicant for membership of Samaritan Ministries REDEEM HealthShare. You must provide us with your first name, last name, deliverable email address, valid postal address, and phone number. You may be required to provide additional information to permit us to verify your identity. You hereby authorize Samaritan Ministries, directly or through service providers, to make any inquiries we consider necessary to validate your identity and personal information. You must update your personal information so that it remains true and accurate during your membership. If you fail to update this information, we may suspend or terminate your account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password.
- User Conduct. You will not (1) attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or the servers and network associated with the platform, (2) circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security or access control technology implemented on the website, or the servers and network associated with the website, (3) use the website in any manner designed to degrade the performance or functioning of the website, including, without limitation, launching denial-of-service attacks against the website, and (4) use the services or platform for any purpose other than health care sharing, as described in Section 1. Samaritan Ministries may, but is not obligated to, immediately suspend any user that Samaritan Ministries, in its sole discretion, believes: (a) violated this Agreement or the Guidelines, (b) are unauthorized, fraudulent, or illegal, or (c) exposes you, another member, Samaritan Ministries, or others to risks unacceptable to Samaritan Ministries. You understand that you may be liable for losses incurred by Samaritan Ministries, service provider, or other member due to an unauthorized party using your login information, password, or account. You agree not to use anyone else’s name, password, or account to access the Site at any time without the express permission and consent of such party. You acknowledge that Samaritan Ministries is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with these obligations.
- Organization Users. If you use the services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are duly authorized to bind the organizational entity on whose behalf you purport to accept this Agreement and access the services and platform. Samaritan Ministries may require additional information related to beneficial ownership, organizational control, and representative identity. This additional information may include copies of government-issued identification, business licenses, financial information, or other information related to your business and its beneficial owners or principals.
- Fees. You agree to pay administrative fees as described in the Guidelines and displayed on the platform. Samaritan Ministries may revise the fees in accordance with the Guidelines.
-
Transactions. Any funds transferred using the REDEEM HealthShare platform are transferred by you to one or more financial institutions or payment processors, depending on the method of payment. Samaritan Ministries provides a communications platform for you to relay transfer instructions to your Financial Institution, or its agent, and for you to receive information regarding members’ transfers. Samaritan Ministries will communicate your requests through service providers to initiate a transfer. For example, Samaritan Ministries will communicate your requests to your Financial Institution for an Automated Clearing House (“ACH”) transaction or to a payment processor for credit card or debit card transactions. Such transactions may be governed by additional terms between you and your Financial Institution, payment processor, and/or service provider. By using any such card or payment provider, you are hereby representing and warranting your full right and authority to make such transaction in the manner elected without violating any applicable law, rule, or regulation.
You authorize Samaritan Ministries to communicate your transfer instructions as displayed on the platform. Any payment instruction provided to Samaritan Ministries or activity performed in connection with your sharing funds account (including electronic funds transfers, ACH transactions, or credit card transactions) using the services shall be deemed authorized and valid and a financial institution will be under no obligation to investigate the instruction or activity. SAMARITAN MINISTRIES SHALL BE ENTITLED TO RELY ON THE AUTHORITY OF AND TO ACT ON ALL INSTRUCTIONS ACCOMPANIED BY YOUR PASSWORD.
For ACH transactions, the Financial Institution will debit a linked bank account for the payment, which will appear as “SAMARITAN MEMBER.” The Financial Institution will then remit the funds to a designated member funds account for the benefit of the receiving member or a medical provider. You may view the transaction status through the software platform. Because this is an electronic transaction, funds may be withdrawn from your linked bank account as soon as you click “Send Share” (or similar language) on the platform.
You will not dispute, unless permitted by applicable law and regulations, the Financial Institution, service provider, or other authorized third party debiting your linked bank account, so long as the transaction corresponds to the terms displayed on the platform. You are also responsible for any penalties or fines imposed by the Financial Institution or a service provider resulting from your use of the services in a manner not permitted by this Agreement or applicable law, rules, and regulations.
-
